The Obligatory Get To Know Me

Ok, this is my first blog, so bear with me as I get the hang of it all. I must warn you now, I can get a little vulgar lol I tend to have a mouth like a trucker but I will try and tone it down.  My name is Tomika but just call me Meeka (everyone does). I'm 41 I've been married for 17 years to an amazing man.. Logan, who I met online and we have been together ever since. I have 16-year-old twins.. Jr. and Nika, a 22-year-old son .. Bee, and a 25-year-old daughter .. Deedee.

Now on to some of my health struggles as I also am rather sick.

I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in July 2008 after a year of pain and trying to figure out what was wrong with me. During that journey, I heard everything from it is all in my head, to this is just what women have to go through suck it up! I knew something was wrong especially after I had my period for 2 months straight. Finally, I found a Dr. willing to actually listen and they said it could be Endo, so I had surgery to confirm it. This is when my life changed. After being told this, I started doing all kinds of research trying to figure out what the hell it was and how can I manage it. I decided against Lupron and went with Danazol. This would prove to be the biggest mistake of my life. I'm getting a little ahead of myself. For those of you that don't know what Endo is here is a brief intro to it.

Endometriosis is an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, bowel, or the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may spread beyond your pelvic region.
In endometriosis, displaced endometrial tissue continues to act as it normally would: It thickens, breaks down, and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. And because this displaced tissue has no way to exit your body, it becomes trapped. Surrounding tissue can become irritated, eventually developing scar tissue and adhesion — abnormal tissue that binds organs together.
This process can cause pain — sometimes severe — especially during your period. Fertility problems also may develop. I've included the link for more information.

there is a lot more with it, but like I said a brief intro. I will talk about Danazol in a further blog, but right now this is just a get-to-know-me. I also have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Psuedo Tumor Cebrei, POTS, Degenerative Joint Disorder, Intercystis, Gastroparesis, Chronic Tachycardia, Back Pain, Left Hip problems, and a few more.  I currently take a lot of meds.. about 15 pills for breakfast and lunch. 20 for the evening and 7 at bedtime. with 4 thrown in the middle of those.

After we have all of that, throw in some childhood trauma along with a violent previous relationship and you have me!! HI

Yeah I know it's a lot of crap but this is my life.. I hope you stay with me for the ride, it should be interesting.. If you want you can also find me on social media just like everyone else.. meekameans6 for Instagram and TikTok. Links should be on the side.
